We have read many good books and articles on potty training, and we have hundreds of years between all of us that may lend a paw in how to potty train your new dog---old or young, but this site stood out and so we gathered our pointers from them.  A link to their page, RescueDogs101, is above at "More about potty training."

HE IS SO HAPPY TO FINALLY BE IN HIS FOREVER HOME!
Everyone is happy :)
You take him outside,
   show him "the spot."

Wait for it,
Wait for it,
  • He does not pee; must not need to; you'll bring him out later, or he will go out on his own when he has to pee. Right?
  • NO! he sniffs, plays, everything but doesn’t potty. So you take him inside and he squats and pees!
  • Sound familiar?
  • Potty training is a lot of work, it takes a lot of patience, but easy when you follow the four steps below.
How long did it take you to learn? How many accidents did you have before finally making it to the toilet on time?

Whether it's a puppy, young or adult, or even a senior, show them with these four easy steps.
