SECOND You will get an instant email response that your application is complete (if you don't receive the confirmation, check to make sure you entered your email address correctly and all required questions are fully answered.
THIRD Our rescued dogs get adopted sometimes quickly, so please understand a dog or puppy you are interested in might already be in the process of being adopted.
FOURTH You will get a personal email within 48 hours with more information on your path to adoption (if you don’t, please look in your SPAM folder!). You can email [email protected] with any questions!
FIFTH If your application is approved to meet the dog, we will set up a time and day to meet; we do not have a shelter so meetups is the best way to go. We do not bring every dog to every meet-up, so it is important that you let us know that you will be attending and want to see a particular dog.
SIXTH Family members and any other pets you have to see how the dog you’re interested in will interact. This will help ensure that it is a perfect match.
SEVENTH If it's a good match, you pay the adoption fee, sign/agree to the contract, and take your new companion home.
EIGHTH Our contracts state you may return the dog in the same condition as when you adopted it for a full refund if returned within one or two weeks; each contract will be specific about the number of days or weeks. In some scenarios, this will not apply; for instance, if you fostered-to-adopt. Contract will be clear.
NINTH Adoption fees are paid via Zelle, Venmo, or cash; we do not accept checks or credit cards at this time.
TENTH After you have adopted, visit Smart Tag and update the dog's microchip registration contact information. No fee as we already paid for a lifetime registration.
