SOME NEED TO GAIN WEIGHT; SOME NEED TO BE TREATED
FOR WORMS MORE THAN ONCE.
Welcome Saquaro. It's spiritual meaning is a symbol of the American Southwest and its inner meaning expresses the idea of standing tall, adapting to the environment, and providing shelter and nourishment for others. It has stature and authority and holds a grandfatherly type of wisdom.
Saquaro is between 8 and 10 months old; she underwent a blood panel which showed a couple difference health issues related to malnourishment and ticks. Thus far she has received several shots of antibiotics. Next step will be one month of doxycycline to stave off Ehrichliosis. |
Of course keep in mind that treatments include for fleas, ticks, worms, and parasites. These four issues make a huge difference for a dog. Check back later for updates.
UPDATE: Soquaro likes other dogs and even cats! 10-12-20 |
Meet Freedom ! 11 months old
update 10-09-20 saturday hope and freedom will see the vet again, get another vaccine and exam. Freedom is in heat as is Jenny so we must wait to spay both of them. Freedom and Hope we assume are related. Same age and found wondering the streets. To date, they were provided the 4DX test which was all the way negative! YAY, given their first multiple vaccine, treatment for worms, fleas, and ticks. Saturday October 10 both have a second vet visit. Another round of worming meds and maybe the Bordatella vaccine.

HOPE WAS. ADOPTED
Two weeks from October 10, they should be ready for spaying. We know for sure that they do well with children and even the young ones. Foster family has a four year old niece that visits every day. The little girl feeds both dogs.

Luna is a puppy who is a little sick right now. Say a quiet well wish or prayer for our little girl.
update on 10-09-20: tested positive for Giardia, spent a few days in the hospital, going back to her foster home, and will continue the vaccine series soon
NOVEMBER 5, 2020; Luna is not yet ready but doing great! She is bigger and healthier.

Cleo is such a go-easy-kind-a-girl.
She is relatively new. Both her and Rascal will visit the vet at the same time for an over-hall checkup and to start their vetting. NOVEMBER 5, 2020 Cleo tested positive for heart worm and is in hospital being treated. Slight case the doc said. No worries :) |

October 09, 2020. Her name is Kira. This darling and her babes were surrendered to our group from a family who could not afford the upkeep. She is immensely malnourished, timid, and unsure.
10-12-20 Kira and her brood are in Santee, CA, fostered in a home but not exposed to other dogs because the puppies are too young for that. After a few days, Kira is approaching the foster mom. At this point, the focus is improving her health, helping her to gain weight, get repeated treatment for worms and parasites all of which will help the puppies, too. 10-12-20. Check back for updates as we watch this family grow. |
As you can see, Kira is so thin. If you want to donate to Angel and her family, she could sure use a sponsor. A sponsor would allow us to buy quality food.
Sorry about the name change. We named her Angel before we knew she had a name set by the foster. November 5, 2020 Thank you for the $20 donation! She is doing so well; This is an updated picture. Kira is not dirty or thin anymore; she does not have worms, fleas, or ticks! She will stay with her puppies for two more months. Sponsor Angel and her babies by sending a donation via Venmo or Zelle to [email protected]
